What would you do if you were greeted by a robot with the face of a real estate agent? Well, many potential renters in California and other states are becoming more used to this exact scenario.
According to ZDNet, Zenplace, "a property management startup founded in 2016" is changing the way people view homes. Now, you can set up a tour of a home or apartment and get a lockbox code through an app on your phone. When you arrive, there's a robot there to greet and show you around. The robots are controlled by real estate agents remotely with whom you can video chat while you view the home. The robots, known as Rex, listen to renters questions and comments, add them to their "potential renters' profile", and use the information to find other properties that fit their criteria.
